I have put away my GDO quilt for the moment to make some quilt as you go blocks for the victims of the bushfires devastating our country at the moment
These blocks are quick and easy to make and a good use of scraps
They will be sent to Jan Mac of http://sewmanyquiltstoolittletime.blogspot.com/
Jan will put them together and distribute them to people who have suffered great losses in these fires and I hope will bring them some comfort to know that people really care
My grand daughter left this week to fight the fires in East Gippsland
So proud of her

ReplyDeleteWhat a great cause to participate in. Those who receive these quilts will be blessed by yours and others kindness. A year ago when California was fighting fires, my grandchildren and I made pillow cases for school students to carry their few belongings in. It was a humbling experience to do this. Prayers for your granddaughter as she leaves to help.
