Yesterday I got to open my gifts in the SSCS and final Advent gifts
Oh my goodness I was blown away by this gorgeous sewing bag from Flo in France
I love love love it
So beautifully made and even the colour is perfect
Thank you so very much Flo
Inside were more gifts
An Eiffel Tower key ring, some Tilda fabric and ribbon, the cutest buttons, some embroidery thread and to top it off some tea bags
Merci Flo and and also Chooky for giving me such a lovely partner and for the great job you do in organizing this swap.
Also got to open my final Advent gifts from Shez
I had admired these beautiful coat hangers when she showed them on her Blog and I was so pleased to find they were for me

I made this wall hanging for my friend Kathy for Christmas She collects angels, loves green and is always there when I need her so it is perfect
It is a Michelle Ridgeway design and was published in Country Threads magazine a little while ago

SANTA SACK OPENING DAY

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today was the day we were allowed to open our gifts in Cherylls Santa Sack Swap
I was lucky to have Maddy as my swap partner
Maddy is being a good girl and not opening her gifts until Christmas day
I couldnt wait and neither could my gorgeous Grand daughter, who is staying with me for a few days
I love everything I received
Thank you Maddy
Every thing is lovely and you have been very generous
Also a special thanks to our swap Mama for giving me Maddy as a partner
It has been lovely getting to know her and I hope our friendship will continue

Advent and SSCS

 

 

I have been very remiss in showing my gifts in some swaps I have been participating in
Firstly the first nine gifts in Fee's Advent swap, received from Shez

And secondly my gifts in Chookys SSCS arrived all the way from France
Isn't she a gorgeous angel
The other is safely under my tree waiting for opening on Christmas day

Firstly I had no Internet for unknown reasons, then I have been quite unwell
Had some teeth out last weekend and got a "dry socket"
Very painful and made me feel terrible
Am on anti biotics now so hopefully will feel better soon

Its Done My Memory Quilt is Done

 

 

I have just finished my Memory Quilt
It has taken me 11 months from conception to completion
It has been quite a journey
So many emotions
Exactly 11 months ago , one year after my precious girl went to sleep for the final time, I was helping my son in law clean out her things
I just couldnt send her clothes to the Op shop, so as we  were packing her things in bags It came to me. A quilt
And here it is Made entirely from her clothes except for the fabric the photo's are printed on
Iam very pleased with it
I think it shows many aspects of her life
Her as a child. then as a much loved nurse
Her love of family and animals
Motor Bikes were her passion and she was indeed a speed demon as one of her tee shirts showed
Her wedding, where the smile never left her face, even though she was extremely ill at the time
I will get better photos when I work out how to hang it
I have never hung one quite so large before

More Cards Another Charity Quilt and I need computer help

 

 

I had another card making day with friends last weekend
I do enjoy these days
Made another quilt for the kids and have been doing a bit of secret sewing
All my swaps are up to date now
Please I need advice with this computer stuff again
Suddenly I have this "search conduit. com" thingy appear on my computer
It is making everything I do difficult
Can anybody tell me how to get rid of it
I did try to down load a pattern Not sure if I did something then
All I know is It is darn annoying
Help PLEASE

Organized

 

Once again I joined in the fun of Fee's Advent swap
My partner is the lovely Shez
Well I thought she was lovely ,but now I have to wonder
The lovely Shez is so organized that my parcel is here already
How cruel is that ?
I have to wait a whole month to get to open one little gift and they are staring at me just begging to be opened
Seriously Thankyou Shez
Iam very excited
And Thanks Fee for once again organizing this swap
Shez will have to wait a little longer for her parcel
I'am not that organized

Home from Our Holiday

 

We are back from a lovely relaxing two weeks away in our caravan
We toured up the coast , mainly just relaxing and sight seeing
We have had the caravan for about three years and this was the first time we have used it
Hope fully we can do it more often now, though with the farm Hubby finds it hard to get away
I managed a bit of stitching but can't show you
Secret swap stuff
And guess what Blogger is being kind tonight

Some times I wonder?

Sometimes I wonder why I bother with this computer stuff
Trying to put photos up and things keep changing
Just a short post to say I will be away for a little while . Hubby and I are heading off tomorrow in our caravan
So if you are my Advent partner I will contact you as soon as I return

Meet Maggie

 

 

My friends and I enjoyed a card making day last Saturday
Cards were a little different this time
It is always fun to get together with friends for a little crafting, a little eating and lot's  of laughter
I also became a step  Great Nanny again to my daughters step grandchild
Iam so lucky that Bec has adopted me as Nanny to her two beautiful girls
Kittie seems happy with her new sister Maggie
Now I just have to decide on the quilt design for Maggie
Kittie's is the farm quilt on my header

I have been a bad Blogger lately  Blame Blogger who is not playing the game
Every time I try to sign in to read someones Blog it is taking ages, sometimes up to five minutes. Thus I have not been getting around to visit as much as I would like
Have been getting a little bit of sewing done Not to many finishes though
This table runner is for my daughter for Christmas
She is a mad keen Collingwood football Fanatic
I think she will like this. Her son isn't to happy about it though Says there is to much Magpie stuff around the house as it is
I have been getting a lot of Anonamus comments lately
Just letting you know Mr anon that I do not read or open these comments They get deleted straight away so Don't waste your time.
Hopefully I will get to visit you all soon

Another Charity Quilt and my Birthday

 

 

Blogger is giving me grief again!!
My friends know I have been making quilts for Wrapped in Love a charity that donates quilts to kids with terminal illness so They will often give me bits and pieces to do something with.
I was given the bottom half of this quilt all nicely hand sewn together Didn't quite know what to do with it as I had nothing in my stash to suit, so I simply added a couple of panels I had
I guess it hasn't turned out to badly
Just thought I would show you my birthday cake It was delicious
