FNSI March And I need your Opinion

Last night when I joined Wendy and world wide friends for a stitching night I worked on my Australiana Quilt
This quilt was a row by row block of the month from Sue of Quilted Hugs by Sue
She faithfully gave the rows every month But then she decided to let us do our own Borders
I have a few ideas floating around in my head

I had these blocks left over from another project and thought they might work
Layng them out on my design floor Iam not so sure
I would really value your opinions please
What are your thoughts I wont be offended

I made an Easter basket for little Samuels first Easter and a birthday card for a dear friend Not all last night either LOL

  1. Even though your blocks are lovely I think they are too busy for the row by row...
A tone on tone would look good sew the rows stand out...
Cute Easter basket and pretty card.

  3. I think perhaps I agree with the girls above. It is such a lovely quilt. A small plain border first and then maybe match up your rows on the final border and add your applique. It is going to be wonderful.....well done! Awww very cute bunny bag too xx

  5. I love your quilt. I do like the border, it is busy but it really pulls all the colour from your main pieced work. Beautiful quilt. :)

  6. I am with the first girls, I think plaine colours with your applique would look good. Maybe the blocks could make their own quilt? Love your row by row. The bunny bag and card are lovely.

  7. I have to agree with the above. The blocks do detract from the main body of the quilt. Good luck on finding the solution.

  8. I love your rows and I love your borders. Even the colors play well together but I'm not sure they would look right together in a quilt. The borders are a bit wide. What about remaking the borders only smaller & narrower? *wink* Just kidding. I'm sure you'll be able to come up with a great border for your rows and something wonderful will come from the blocks.

    Cute Easter basket too!

  10. I actually really like the border with the main body of the quilt - they make for an interesting contrast.

  11. Your Australiana quilt looks so good... I'd be in two minds about the border too - the colours are great but is it too busy and distracting from the animals? I'd be interested to learn what you've decided. And we all know it's your quilt - your decision! I love the cute little Easter basket!
