Memory Quilt Started

Posted by PicasaI have been absent for a while
Keeping busy painting the outside of our farm house Starting to look good but Iam a bit stiff and sore
Been a while since I have done much of that sort of thing
I made a start on the quilt I want to make using Lorraine's clothes
The hardest part was that first cut
I feel very close to her as I stitch her clothes into what will be a lasting memory of her to hand down to my grandchildren

Painting is a lot of hard work! But it will look wonderful when you're done! And how nice to see the start of your daughter's quilt. I think making this will help you heal a little bit more. :0)

What a wonderful gift to make for your grandchildren. This memory quilt will also be a healing quilt, I'm sure, for all of you. Will look forward to seeing it when it's finished. Painting is hard work, but as everyone has mentioned, it will be so worth it when it is done. Nola

That is going to be a heartfelt quilt made up with beautiful memories. That is something I need to put in my idea book for a future project. Thanks for sharing it with us. Thank you for your visit.

This is going to be a truly beautiful keepsake for your grandchildren. You will have many poignant moments whilst making this quilt, but it will be well worth it. Keep us posted on the project. Good for you doing some painting. Don't think my body could withstand it!!
