LIFE GOES ON

Life goes on but it will never be the same again
I have lost my best friend She was worried about me when she went so I know she wouldn't want me to be unhappy ,but it is so hard
400 people attended her funeral so that shows how highly she was thought of So many of the people there were former patients that she had looked after when she was nursing So many told me she went above and beond
Iam so proud
I was very blessed to call her my daughter
Thankyou to all who have left me messages I have read each one and they have helped tremendously in my grieving process
Iam sorry I have not answered you individually but please know how much your support has meant to me

  1. It says a lot about your daughter that so many came to pay their respects to her. I guess all I can say is to be grateful for the time you did have with her. Some mothers don't get that much. Wrap yourself in one of those quilts Lyn made you and know how many people are with you in spirit as you get through this time.

  2. I have not been blogging at all lately so I didn't realize that your daughter was sick. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers. I've lost a child, but before I ever got to know him, I can only imagine the pain that you are going through. 400 people, she must have been amazing!
    Hugs,

  10. You have been in thoughts and prayers for so long Illene - realising that Lorraine's special Service of Thanksgiving for her life must have taken place. And boy - what a gathering! So many wanting to show their love and graditude - so, so special. And all for your daughter who now is safe within your heart forever. How lovely that you have come back on line to pick up parts of your life again. You have been missed. Take as long as you wish, talk as much as you wish about Lorraine and the rest of the family - we are here... Throughout the world. Hugs. Jules xxx

  13. Illene, you have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly. The fact that Lorraine's service was so greatly attended is such a tribute to the woman that she was - loved and cherished by those who knew her. That also says a lot for you, the mother that raised her to be that woman. May the Lord give you peace and comfort as you go through this difficult time.

    XOXO,

    Cyndi

  16. Oh, Ilene, what a special woman she must have been and remembered by many many loved ones in such a hopeful way!
This is the most difficult lost a mother has to deal with.
Sending you lots of love and warmth! xo

  17. It's hard when children die before the parents. If your daughter knew the Lord, you can be with her again, that's the good part.
